Both of these images involve a scooter and a trailer. The one on top is a late '50s
Lambretta LD. The Lambretta's engine/transmission layout proved better than Vespa's design
of that time. All modern scooters incorporate the Lambretta's design. Nobody, not even Vespa,
uses the inferior Vespa design anymore. Except Stella, that is. It's still a bad design.
Sadly, having a better design doesn't guarantee survival in this world. Lambretta
succumbed to corporate stupidity after being purchased by British Leyland many years ago.
The picture on the bottom has things reversed. Here, the scooter is pulling a trailer of sorts.
Not really unheard of, but not commonly seen, either.
